HI to our freshies out there!!

               First of all, HAPPY BELATED LABOUR DAY to you and enjoy your weekend!! If you have came for the NP50 charity show, we hope you have enjoyed the entire performance brought to you by our very own NP CCAs. Hope you are still coping fine in these two weeks of school. Yes, Assignments are roping in, so make sure you guys manage your time well too. These few weeks, we saw so many events taking place in school so hope you guys are having a fun-filled time as well.  Not to worry if you missed our welcome party last week, we have put together a video below to tell you what you can expect from us in times to come. This coming Monday, 6th May shall be our first official training for YOU. It will be at Block 73 #03-06 (above Munch) at 6.30 pm. Hope to see you there!!

               首先，劳动节快乐。如果您有来观看义安五十周年庆慈善表演，我们希望您也度过一个美好的夜晚。希望你们在这两个星期还应付的来。是的，你们会逐渐接到测验和宿题的到来，所以一定要安排和掌握好时间。这几个星期以来，我们校园内也不停的在举行一系列庆祝义安五十周年的活动，希望带给您一个充实的校园生活。如您错过了我们上礼拜举行的新生欢迎会，我们也编译了个短片，告诉您在未来的日子里可以期待着些什么。来临的周一，五月六日将会是本社正式的排练。地点会是在大牌 73 #03-06 （Munch 楼上）6.30 时。我不见不善哦！！

亲爱的读者，

            本地演艺圈在昨天失去我们永远的 "阿水"哥, 享年 60 岁。自1977 加入新加坡广播局，黄文永参与接近 100 部作品，饰演很多不同脚色。我们相信他家愈户晓的作品就是出道后，在1984 年的“雾锁南洋”在片中饰演“阿水”这个角色。阿水在片中饰演一个忠厚老实的割胶员。文永大哥知名的其他作品包括 96 年的敢敢做个开心人，03 年的真心英雄和荷兰村，05 年的梦在手里， 08 年的一房半庭，一水缸，12 年花样人间，最后少不了今年年出的贺岁连续剧， 好运到！
义安中文舞台戏剧社永远挂念我们永远的"阿水"哥。

Dear readers,

          Our local media and entertainment industry very own "Ah Shui" has just passed on earlier yesterday, aged 60. Ever since joining Singapore Broadcasting Corporation in 1977, Huang Wenyong has participated close to 100 sitcom and television productions, tried out various character roles. We believe his most renowned household production that everyone knows about is "The Awakening" where he played a role called "Ah Shui". Huang Wenyong plays a humble and honest rubber tapper in this production. Others famous production he's invloved in include Don't worry, Be Happy in 1996, True Heroes and Holland V in 2003, Destiny in 2005, Joys of Life in 2012 and this year's new year television production, It's a wonderful life!

         Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Chinese Drama Club is proud to be invited to Sony Digital Workshop event whereby two talks featuring some of the best Directors in the film industry - Jack Neo (reowned director in Singapore) & Pepe Diokno (based in Philiphines | Multi-award of venice Film festival 2009) held on 20th April at The Arts House. We look forward to having more talks in times to come, to provide more opportunities and exposure for you. Stay tuned to our blog as we constantly feed you with more event and updates to keep you entertained.
